Love people as they are, not as you are.
Don’t expect people to be just like you. While we can have plenty in common, we are also different in many ways.
We need to learn how to love people for the things we connect with in them, but not sweat the stuff that do not align with our way of thinking or being.
The human mind is composed of infinite thought and each person holds their own thoughts in highest regard…whether they are right or wrong is irrelevant, respect that.
It’s human nature to take things personally, but to be at peace with ourselves and others, we need to consciously remember that we have a capacity to let things go… Especially little things which hold no significance really in the grander scheme of our own lives. When you find little things about someone bothering you, take a pause and remember that everything is not about you and how you view the world…don’t let someone else’s personality and quirks spoil your day, acknowledge it if you must and move on.
Let people be who they are, and do not judge. Take what you can, in the doses that you can. But be a good friend: love them, support them, defend them, be loyal to them and pray for them. To have a friend, you must be a friend.
